Edmondsans Type Specimen Book
Type Specimen Book Design
Lost Type Co. is home to the font Edmondsans which was designed by James Edmondson. I first contacted James and got some history about his creation of the typeface and to draw inspiration for the design. I felt the typeface was strong, sturdy and expressive, which I wanted to represent through the pages of this type specimen book. I created pages showing details of the letterforms and entire alphabet. I chose to highlight the circles in the spreads by strategically cutting some of them out to reveal the next pages' similar forms.
