In celebration of 25 years of beers, Pelican Brewing needed something to commemorate their legendary birthplace in Pacific City. Collaborating with North Drinkware, the original local innovators of custom monoliths in glassware, we created a custom 3D designed pint glass to enjoy said beer and tied it back to a special place–the legendary Haystack Rock

To celebrate Pelican Brewing Company’s home in Pacific City, Oregon, and beloved Haystack Rock, I connected with the team at North Drinkware to pitch them a collaboration idea. With their gorgeous custom glass art, inspired by the monoliths of the Pacific Northwest, this local innovative Portland brand locks in your favorite memory with every glass. We collaborated on a custom tumbler and pint glass with Custom 3D data of Haystack Rock off the coast of Cape Kiwanda molded into the base of the glass. This unique geologic feature, standing at 327 ft above sea level, is the tallest of Oregon's Haystack Rocks and is within the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge, providing essential breeding and resting habitat for coastal wildlife. With years of milestone moments created with Haystack Rock symbolically ever-present, this product collaboration allowed generations of visitors and locals alike to bring home their beloved coastal memories in a glass alongside every sip of Pelican beer. This piece sold exclusively in the Pelican online store, on-site at the locations, as a part of our 25th Bird-Day quarterly subscription service, and online at NorthDrinkware.com.
